How to File a Complaint

Violations of California Penal Code or Criminal Acts on Campus

Complaints related to violations of the California Penal Code or the commission of criminal acts on campus should be reported to the Foothill-De Anza Community College District Police at 408.924.8000.

 

Unlawful Harassment

Complaints of unlawful harassment, including sexual harassment filed by a student or an employee of the district, shall be referred and handled pursuant to the district’s Administrative Procedures: Investigation and Resolution of Complaints Regarding Harassment and Discrimination. Such complaints should be directed to Michele LeBleu-Burns, the dean of Student Development and EOPS, at 408.864.8828. Violation of Student's Rights Under the Americans Disability Acts

For complaints regarding alleged violation of a student’s rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1996 or the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA) of 2008 and information about the student complaint and resolution process, please see the Disability Information Student Handbook or visit the office of the dean of Student Development and EOPS on the lower level of the Hinson Campus Center in room 165. Students may also contact Michele LeBleu-Burns, the dean of Student Development and EOPS, at 408. 864.8828.

 

Alleged Violation of a Student's Rights

For complaints regarding alleged violation of a student’s rights and a copy of the student grievance policies and procedures, please go to http://www.deanza.edu/studenthandbook/grievance.html or visit the office of the dean of Student Development and EOPS on the lower level of the Hinson Campus Center in room 165. Students may also contact Michele LeBleu-Burns, the dean of Student Development and EOPS, at 408. 864.8828.

If you believe your concerns have not been resolved at the campus level, you may present the matter externally.


If your complaint is associated with the institution's compliance with academic program quality and accrediting standards, contact the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC).
