Placement Testing Retest Policies

In keeping with matriculation guidelines and to better conserve limited resources, De Anza Community College enforces the following policies regarding retesting:

• Students are eligible for an initial test and one (1) retest.
  
  
• Students who have taken a placement test and then enrolled in a course in that subject are not eligible to retest in that subject.

• Students who have not enrolled can retest after six (6) months for English, mathematics, biology, chemistry,  and after one (1) year for ESL if they provide documentation of study/preparation for the retest.
