About De Anza Badminton

In 2008-2009, after a five-year hiatus, Intercollegiate Women's Badminton returned to De Anza College.  The program has added to it's turn-of-the-century success, winning the State Championship in 2013 & 2014 and finishing as runner-up in 2015, adding to the runner-up finishes in 2000 and 2003. The Dons have also been Coast Conference Champions six times. The 2014 and 2017 teams were also the State Scholar Badminton Team for California, with a team GPAs of 3.5

The De Anza Badminton Team is open to all students who are willing to commit themselves and work to excel at badminton. Prior competitive experience is desired but not required. Although the Women’s Traveling Team carries to 6-12 athletes to each match, and there is room for many more to take part in the training and exhibitions. The women's team annually visits Southern California to prepare for championship competition.

2019 DA BAdminton Team

Male athletes who are willing to work will be afforded exhibition opportunities against collegiate opposition as available. In the last five years the men competed against Stanford,  San Jose State and Evergreen Valley.  Our goal to give all De Anza Students the opportunity to raise their level of play.
