ENDOWMENT GOAL $150,000
The continuously escalating cost of athletics programs means that colleges must reach out to alumni and community members for support.
In late 2014, two leaders of the regional tennis community volunteered to help provide that support for Men's Tennis at De Anza. Dana Gill, founder and executive director of Lifetime Tennis, and Jan Young, a former pro and retired director of the Sunnyvale Tennis Center, spearheaded the funding of an endowment. They garnered $25,000 to start the endowment for the program. The endowment was established in January 2015.
Gill and Young continue to work with the college and the Foothill-De Anza Foundation with the goal to raise $150,000 to offset operating expenses for years to come.
You can make a donation to the De Anza Men's Tennis Team mail or online. If you choose to "Rally Online," please follow the instructions below:
Click the "Rally Online" button. Complete the request information. For the "Program" drop down menu, be sure to select "Other," and then type in "DA Men's Tennis" to provide the name of the program. Your gift is fully tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
Thank you for your support in advance.
