or Alaskan Native, and Filipino, and 6% selected Other.

indicated that they would attend classes
beginning
between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., 26% selected classes beginning between 9:00
a.m. and noon, 18% selected Saturday classes, 17% selected classes beginning
between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and 10% selected classes beginning between
noon and 3:00 p.m.
44% of respondents reside in San Jose, 22% in Sunnyvale,
8% in Cupertino
and 26% in other areas.
50% of respondents indicated that their
biggest challenge to success in classes is “work
and/or
family obligations,” 32% selected “English as your second language,” 11%
selected “learning difficulties,” 3% selected “physical barriers in
environment,” 2% selected “lack of basic skills,” and 2% selected “difficulty
with the English language.”
