• Affirm sustainability leadership to the President’s Climate Commitment (action plan)
• AASHE STARS management reporting tool
• Need permanent SMP coordinator
• Need for student interns
• Raise CEAG to a higher shared governance level
• Want to change CEAG name to College Environmental Action Group
• Meet with Donna Jones-Dulin Monday, Feb. 22, 3:30 p.m.

STARS updates

• Three categories: Education and Research; Operations; Planning, Administration & Engagement
• Subcommittees to work on credits and if they apply to De Anza
• Working meeting: Wednesday, Feb. 10, 9-10 a.m.

Food subcommittee report

• Organic gardening:
• Child care center herb garden
• Looking at plot near tennis courts (200x50 feet) raised beds
• INKA gardens: hydroponic closed system, vertical, raised beds, solar panels

Minimization/Recycling subcommittee report

• Goal to recycle 75%
• Joe Cooke has Los Altos Garbage reports from July 1-December 13, 2009: metal, construction, demolition,
• comingle, plastic, yard debris, glass, wood, cardboard/paper, batteries

Transportation subcommittee report

• Students working on ECO pass w/VTA rep (Angela) on green fee which did not fly with students
• ACTION: Barb to invite one student to report to CEAG

Communication subcommittee report
