  DE ANZA COLLEGE COMMUNITY EDUCATION
This class will introduce students to
skills they can use in both drawing and animation. Students will get to draw their own cool characters and learn to animate them as well. The class will explore such concepts as expression and proportion for drawing, along with sequence and speed for animation. No drawing or animating experience necessary.
Instructor: Viviana Leija-Sysak is a visual artist who has worked for television production companies and as an art instructor in a variety of media, from drawing to video animation.
Class requirements: Tablet, laptop
or desktop computer with internet capability; two digital apps (available free for download after registration). A digital stylus is suggested, but not mandatory.

DRAWING, PAINTING, AND
SCULPTURE
(Grades 3-5) (7606)
Students will learn and practice different drawing, painting and sculpture techniques, while strengthening their observational, analytical and creative thinking skills. Instruction will include live demonstrations as students work along from home, along with art games, challenges and lessons on art history. This course is offered through the Euphrat Museum of Art.
Instructor: Anna Fankhauser is a museum and classroom art educator who teaches art in the Cupertino Union School District at John Muir, Collins and Blue Hills Elementary Schools. She has worked at museums in Switzerland and the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford, Euphrat Museum of Art, San Jose Museum of Art and Palo Alto Art Center. Her curriculum has been enriched and inspired by her museum experiences.
