EINSTEIN’S THEORY OF
RELATIVITY FOR EVERYONE
 ASTROPHYSICS FOR
Einstein’s theories of special and general relativity have stood the test of time
for more than 100 years. This class
will examine their development and meaning, and the differences between them. Students will review the ways in which popular media address relativity and such topics as time dilation, length contraction and the speed of light. Although these concepts are complex, relativity is an exciting and elegant subject that can be explained in a nontechnical way.
