Community College Advocacy Program

ICCE is seeking students for paid internships
for the 2010-2011 academic year

Learn about grassroots community and student organizing during this 11-month paid internship program.

Program starts August 2010 and includes a $5000 grant-funded stipend per student through the 2010-2011 academic year.

Application Deadline: 5 p.m. on Friday, August 20
  • Passionate about community colleges and social justice?
  • Eager to learn how to organize at the grassroots political level and build advocacy skills?
  • Good with people and working in a team?
This may be the internship for you!
  • Participate in at least 10 hours a week of internship work
  • Organize and advocate for community college funding and social justice
  • Attend weekly team meetings
  • Learn from quarterly skills workshops and training
  • Earn 4 units of academic credit per quarter

The mission of De Anza’s Institute of Community and Civic Engagement (ICCE) is to advance education for democracy with full participation of all of our communities as its core value. Our goal is to empower students to be agents of change in the social, economic, political realities of their lives, their communities and beyond!
