Screening of ‘The Garden’ and Post-Screening
Discussion
Hinson Campus Center, Conference
Rooms A&B.
5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
"The Garden" is an unflinching look at backroom deals, green politics,
racial discord, money, poverty and power. At a moment when food,
energy, and environmental crises confront us at every turn, "The Garden"
serves as a powerful symbol of the larger world around us.
Stay for a panel discussion and breakout session with other film
viewers to brainstorm on ways to improve our relationship to food and a
healthy environment at De Anza.
Panel Members:
-
Kristin Jensen Sullivan, De Anza ES Department
-
Chris Lepe, De Anza ES Department
-
Mark Anthony Medeiros, Veggielution Urban Farming Project
-
Meghan Cole, Full Circle Farm
A living resources board, online and on campus, will be created from the information gathered through this event.
Co-sponsored by ICCE, GenerationEngage, Environmental Studies Department and DASB.
