One of 108 California community colleges, De Anza College is located in the Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area. The Distance Learning Center offers students an alternative to traditional classroom studies. Courses are available through a variety of media, including cable TV, online, videoconferencing and mixed media.

Courses are designed to accommodate both students who prefer classes that do not require on-campus meetings and those who want some face-to-face contact with instructors and classmates.

De Anza courses parallel the first two years of four-year degree program requirements of the University of California, California State University and private colleges and universities.
