A survey of Chicano/a literature in its various forms, with emphasis on contemporary authors, from the 1940s to the present.
Instructor Information: Marc Coronado
I grew up in New Mexico and West Texas, went to school at UCSB. I have a B.A. in Women's Studies, an
M.A. and a a PhD in American Literature and Culture. I am the current Chair of Women's Studies at De
Anza. I also teach Language Arts, and Chicana/o Studies. I serve as the Community Coordinator for LEAD,
Latina/o Empowerment at De Anza, and as the LEAD Club Advisor. I paint, sew, and enjoy spending time
with my family and friends. I also love to laugh, watch silly tv shows, and work for social justice.
