Students will study the role of management accounting information in organizations for operational
control, product and customer costing, and performance measurement.

This is my fifth year teaching full time as an Accounting instructor at De Anza College. Last year I received tenure. Prior to teaching at De Anza, I was a full time Lecturer at Menlo College where I taught Accounting, Finance, Management, and Entrepreneurship for 4 years. Prior to entering the teaching profession, I held various positions in Accounting and Finance. I was an external auditor for Arthur Andersen (used to be one of the six largest public accounting firms in the world before the Enron scandal), Controller of a large venture capital firm, and CFO of SVB Capital, a division of Silicon Valley Bank. During the summer months, I continue to provide consulting services to a number of venture capital firms. I hold a BS degree in Accounting from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Arizona State University. I am a certified public accountant (CPA).
