Celebrating Kingian Nonviolence
This workshop will invite participants to reimagine and rebuild the kind of world so many of us dream of -- a world of justice, love, healing and reconciliation.
Drawing from Kingian Nonviolence, a philosophy and methodology rooted in the tradition of Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement, and from nonviolent communication, this workshop will explore how we can practice and embody nonviolence in our quest for liberation and social transformation.
Workshop leader Mike Tinoco is a high school educator and nonviolence trainer from San José whose work focuses on nonviolence education, pedagogy and leadership.
Sponsors include the Office of Equity, DASB, Jean Miller Resource Room and the Asian American Studies Department.
