Occupy for Education at De Anza is a coalition of students building an open space for forums and workshops to empower students, raise awareness of the educational budget crisis, discuss creative solutions to on-campus problems created by the cuts, and promote the March 5th demonstration in Sacramento as well as the March 1st Day of Action at De Anza.
Join in the activities every Tuesday for a weekly series of all-day, overnight camp-outs geared to teach, share, inspire and empower.
In solidarity with the Occupy Movement, the group members recognize that the current state of affairs from educational budget cuts to national unemployment are one in the same thing and part of a larger failed financial system that has proven to be unsustainable.
The group's goal is to recognize and understand the problem to work toward sustainable solutions in restoring higher education.

Join De Anza in remembering the date when the executive order was signed during World War II that led to the imprisonment of more than 120,000 Japanese Americans without due process and with no regard for their constitutional rights.
On our 9th year of remembrance, we will host three guest speaker who will discuss: What can the World War II imprisonment of Japanese Americans teach us about defending our civil liberties today? Their focus will be on the increasing hostility aimed at Muslim Americans and the use of federal law enforcement agencies in spying on US citizens.

“Invoking Peace” interweaves tradition and innovation, faith and activism. It emphasizes the immense diversity of Islamic art and reveals shared concerns.
