CD 58 Final presentations -Part 1Culture is made up of all those factors in your environment which includes attitudes, values, laws, cherished beliefs, and other ways of doing things. (PITC) Culture includes: Pick one culture and research two or three aspects of that culture in the context of how infants, toddlers, and children can maintain it while living in the United States. Be able to share with the class your findings in a creative, dynamic way. (IDEAS) Use props, wear the traditional clothing, bring food to share, role play, etc. Visuals must be part of your presentation. Print out the rubric and hand it to Dr.Cordero on the day of your presentation. Each group has 25 minutes to present their culture. The presentations will begin on June 15th. This part of the final will be worth 25 points. Part 2 of the final is multiple choice and will be given during the last hour of the final which covers chapter 10 on emotions. The following cultures include: Part 2There will be 15 multiple choice / true and false questions from Chapter 10 (Emotions). Out of the three essay questions below I will choose two for you to answer on a separate piece of paper. These are worth 5 points each. 1. Children come into the world displaying different temperaments and personalities. Based on Alexander and Stella Chess research there are three different types of temperament. Name each one and give an example using toddlers displaying these characteristics. 2. There are nine temperamental traits. Name and describe each one using an example with children. 3. Social Referencing means "checking in." Describe three examples in which toddlers find themselves using this technique. |
