Welcome to the Infant Toddler Class

Welcome to the journey of birth through the toddler years.  Children come into our world with many different personalities and temperaments.  As parents and caregivers we should provide them with as many opportunities as possible to develop their true sense of who they are.  The first three years are important to build their identity and how they function in this world using their senses and motor skills. Jean Piaget called this the Sensorimotor stage.  The development of language is crucial during the first three years as they begin to communicate with others.  The physical environment, group size, adult ratios, daily schedules and routines carried out in a child care center have a great influence on each child.
