About Me

I received my BS from UCLA in Applied Math and Economics, and then worked in industry. My first job was at a think tank called the RAND corporation. My additional employment included places such as NIH (the Genome Project),the US Census Bureau, MD Environmental Agency and more recently Desmos. I went back to graduate school while working at RAND.

I have been teaching for over 30 years. I try to teach so that you can apply what you learn to your next math course or in the real world. If you have anxiety with Math, please know that I understand and I will try my best to help you. I had test taking anxiety in my earlier years.

I have two children, Olivia and Justin and a mischievous cat named Peaches. I like hiking, the beach and chocolate covered cherries. I look forward to meeting you!
