PLEASE READ.  Textbook ordering:  As most students know, there are now many different ways (and pricing schemes) to acquire/purchase textbooks.   From renting books (at about half price), then returning at the end of the quarter; to E-books (at about half price) that can be accessed during the quarter enrolled in; used textbooks, etc.

Whatever method above used, ALWAYS use the ISBN as the primary criterion, this will prevent the purchase of the WRONG textbook(s).

NOTE:  Spring 2012, I will be using new textbooks (different authors and publishers than those listed below for Winter-2012) - please check back to this website BEFORE purchasing textbooks for the particulars.

The College Bookstore has a specially bound copy* that includes both required textbooks in the same book at no additional charge **(according to the Publisher's rep) for the second textbook. The publisher of the textbook also sends some "bound" copies to Premier Off-Campus Books (formerly Aida's) across the street from De Anza.

**Email from Publisher's Rep (5/2010) > compared to a regular (non-bound) Bardes (Am Gov't) new, this essentially provides Korey (CA Gov't) for FREE,  a SAVINGS of $20-25. (It is advisable to verify for yourself the best pricing options of those available.)

BOUND: (may purchase ONLY from the College Bookstore or Premier Off-Campus)   American Government and Politics, California Focus Edition: POLI 01 Online; Schmidt, Shelley, Bardes, Cengage Learning/Wadsworth Publishers.  ISBN 1111030588 (this also includes the other required textbook, California Government by John Korey).

NON-BOUND: If seeking to purchase the textbooks individually or, comparing prices with the bound copy above, use the following information, remember, both are required, whether using the "bound" or not:  American Government and Politics Today 2009-10 14th ed, Schmidt, Shelley, Bardes, Shelley, Schmidt. Cengage Learning/Wadsworth Publishers. ISBN 978-0-495-50228-9 AND,  California Government 5th ed 2009, John Korey. Cengage Learning/Wadsworth. ISBN 978-0-547-04193-3.
