Available at the Counseling Center front desk located on the second floor of the SCS building. This course charges a materials fee which you have already paid, so please come to the Counseling Center front desk and ask for your copy of the Orientation Guide/Event Planner. Course Description:This online course provides students with an orientation to De Anza College including a review of De Anza's programs and policies. Emphasis will include major selection, GE review, and the completion of an Educational Plan. Course Requirements:COUN 200 is a .5 unit, Pass/No Pass, six-week course. There are six lessons you must work through. To pass the course, you must complete ALL of the following: complete the quizzes, assignments and submit an Ed Plan for my approval. Your ed plan will include important information including placement test eligibility, your choice of major and general education pattern, degree objective (AA/AS or transfer), and your choice of classes for the upcoming quarter. Students will develop a one quarter Student Educational Plan that supports your individualized educational goal and reflects your placement tests results. Course objectives:
Important Dates:This class will be taught entirely online. Students must complete Lessons 1 and 2 by January 18 or you will be dropped from the course. All course requirements must be completed by Friday, February 15, 2013. |
