MY READING LIST (another homepage) for English 1A, Freshman
Composition, is at: http://www.deanza.edu/faculty/swensson/index.html
I used PAGEMILL (WYSIWYG software) to do my reading list on my own.
No messy HTML coding! CLARIS HOME PAGE is
a similar, interoperable software. Tables are
easy in
either.

DAN MITCHELL'S HOMEPAGE: http://faculty.deanza.fhda.edu/mitchelldan/
Dan is a music
teacher who has forgotten more about computers than I
know. His home page is wonderful and
interactive, and has another example of a
bulletin board (BBS) called INTERACTION. Dan
provided the base for my own web page-- copied
from Dan's--on how to make basic web pages at:
http://www.deanza.edu/faculty/swensson/webpage.html
GOOGLE: A Great
Search Engine - you almost need no other:
Google is
an intelligent, dynamic, parallel search engine at http://www.google.com/.
Very efficient
for teachers. Two other parallel search engines are called Dogpile & Hotbot; you know
the addresses.
LISTSERV ACCOUNTS:
As a teacher you may wish
to add a listserv to ALL of your classes. I believe a
listserv is the single most important
improvement you can add to any class,
online, traditional, or hybrid (with reduced
seat time). You or the students can
communicate with the entire class at any
time--communication with steroids. If your school does
not yet provide, you can get an
excellent, free listserv (with service) at http://www.onelist.com.
