The Film/Television department at De Anza offers the student several courses of study designed to meet the students needs and interests in live action and animation. Digital film and video production and non-linear technologies have been introduced throughout the program. Although students may complete the program and move directly into the workforce, for those wishing to transfer to four year institutions, it is highly recommended that they plan their course of study in concert with the requirements of those institutions.

90 quarter units are required for an A.A. degree, including 49 or 50 units in the major, 29 to 37 units of GE, and 3 to 11 units of electives. The certificates are designed for students who already possess a degree or are simply seeking vocational training.
