Fee Waiver (BOG): Online Application

May 11-June 30: If you are applying for the current spring quarter, please go to Forms and print the Application for Board of Governors (BOG) Fee Waiver.

The Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOG) is funded by the State of California to fully waive the enrollment fee charged to eligible students.

>> For California residents only.

If you want grants and/or loans, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well. You may have a BOG Fee Waiver if you filed the FAFSA already. Check your financial aid award status online to find out.

You will need an e-mail address to use the online fee waiver application.

If you or your parents are in a registered domestic partnership (RDP), OR if you were an emancipated minor, OR if you were in a legal guardianship, OR were an unaccompanied youth who was homeless, you will need to use the paper BOG fee waiver application (located in our "Forms" section).

Note: Under the provisions of AB 131, students who are exempt from paying nonresident tuition under Education Code Section 68130.5 (AB 540) will become eligible to participate in the BOG Fee Waiver program on January 1, 2013. A special application form will be created for this purpose. The application will be distributed from the Financial Aid Office on or before January 1, 2013, the eligibility date.

If you experience problems with the online BOG application, please contact the Financial Aid Office. Make sure you have your browser's JavaScript enabled and windows pop-up enabled before entering the online application.
