Maximum Time Frame

 

A student pursuing an AA/AS degree must earn 90 quarter units. The federal maximum time frame would be 135.0 attempted units (150% x 90.0). Students applying for an aid year beyond 120.0 attempted units will be asked to complete the Request for Extension process to appeal for an extended time frame beyond the 135.0 attempted units.

A student pursuing a transfer program must earn 84 quarter units. The federal maximum time frame would be 126.0 attempted units (150% x 84.0). Students applying for an aid year beyond 120.0 attempted units will be asked to complete the Request for Extension process to appeal for an extended time frame beyond the 126.0 attempted units.

A student pursuing a certificate must also complete his/her program within the federal maximum time frame of 150% attempted units of the actual normal program length. Normal program lengths are published in the current catalog. Certificates with a normal time frame of 24 - 26 units would have a maximum time frame of 40 units. Certificates with a normal time frame of 24 - 44 units would have a maximum time frame of 66 units. Students applying for an aid year beyond the 150% attempted units for their program will be asked to complete the Request for Extension process to appeal for an extended time frame.

 

BEGINNING WITH THE SUMMER TERM 2010, SATISFACTORY PROGRESS WILL BE DETERMINED DISTRICTWIDE, INCLUDING ALL WORK ATTEMPTED AND COMPLETED AT BOTH DE ANZA AND FOOTHILL COLLEGES.
