Live Auction | Night of Magic

Silent Auction Procedures

The silent auction opens for bids at 5:00 p.m. and closes bids at 6:45 p.m.. Checkout will be after the program around 9:30 p.m. at the registration table.

The live auction will be held during the dinner/program part of the evening.

The property listed in this catalogue as may be amended by addendum or announcement, will be offered for sale by FHDA Foundation/De Anza College, on the following terms and conditions.

  1. Stated values associated with items for auction are estimates of fair market value and are not warranted by De Anza for tax purposes or for general value.
  2. Dates for services, trips or vacation homes are to be arranged by mutual agreement between the donor and buyer. Unless otherwise specified, all auction certificates must be used by October 26, 2003.
  3. Payments can be made at the end of the evening by successful bidders at the designated payment table. Checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and cash are accepted. Payment in full must be made this evening.
  4. Payment must be made and Buyer must have an auction receipt before taking possession of the item.
  5. All sales will be final, and there will be no exchanges or refunds on items.
  6. All items must be taken from the campus on the evening of October 26, 2003.
  7. Should a dispute arise between two or more ACTIVE bidders at the time of close, the Auction chairperson will immediately arrange a private verbal auction on the item in question with the parties directly involved.
  8. During the Live Auction, the highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the Buyer. The auctioneer has the right to reject any bid and to advance the bid at his absolute discretion and, in the event of any dispute between bidders, to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute.

1. Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards Tour & Tasting I
Enjoy a private tour of the Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, conveniently located only 3.3 miles from the village of Saratoga, for a group of up to 10 people. The tour concludes with a wine tasting, and everyone goes home with an 18-1/2 oz. Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards logo wineglass as a souvenir. A landmark winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards is nestled in the Redwoods along the historic "Chaine d'Or" (Golden Chain). French immigrant Pierre Pourroy first established the vineyards in 1892. A gravity-flow winery was added to the site in 1917. When all is said and done, the winery's raison d'être is Pinot Noir. Michael Ballard and Winemaker Michael McNeill have joined forces to turn Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards into a Pinot Noir house second to none. Cheers!

Have a whale of a time spotting these giants of the sea and their dolphin companions of the deep in Monterey Bay.
