IPBT Notes - July 28, 2009

I. Approval of Agenda and Meeting Notes: Notes of July 14, 2009 were approved with one correction under item #IV--Calendar—should read 3:00 instead of 3:30 PM.
II. Divisions’ Budget Reductions: The team examined the instructional divisions’ 5% reduction plans, and explored possible areas for additional reductions. Members were encouraged to bring their questions pertaining to this document to Christina Espinosa-Pieb.
III. Extra Pay/Stipends:
IV. Suggestions- Released/Reassigned Time: A document titled, Faculty Reassign Time for FY 08-09, was distributed for inspection. Clarification was given in regard to the statistical information given. C. Espinosa-Pieb announced that job descriptions will now be required for each faculty release time request.
V. Good of the Order: All summer meetings for IPBT have been cancelled. The following meetings are still under consideration:
• Wed., 9/16; time TBD
• Tues., 9/22; 3:30PM
• Tues., 9/29; 3:30 PM
Starting Tuesday, October 6, IPBT will meet weekly from 3:30 – 5:00 PM in ADM 109.
