   I.     Approval of Agenda and Meeting Notes: Notes of October 13, 2009 were approved.


  II.     IPBT Membership Update: The team membership is still being worked on—Academic Senate will vote on two seats on October 19, and two more classified representatives are needed.                


III.     IPBT Plans for 2009 - 2010: Not discussed at this time.


IV.     Timelines: Not determined other than the charge of having to come up with scenarios for budget reductions by the end of October.


  V.     Budget Update: Examining and discussing the information contained on the document that addressed proposed categorical budget reductions encompassed the remained of the meeting time. The team members were asked to re-examine the programs using Program Review data—focusing on the four categories:

           (1) Vocational; (2) Transfer classes; (3) Certificates and Degrees; and (4) Basic Skills, and to bring their recommendations to the next IPBT meeting—scheduled for 3:30 PM on Oct. 20. In addition, Christina will ask the instructional deans to consult with their divisions about how they might reduce their budgets by the dollar amounts between Option 1 and Option 2—as shown on the handout. The divisions will be working on this simultaneously while IPBT examines possible ways to reduce the budget.


VI.     Good of the Order: Five flash drives need to be prepared and given to the new team members.
