Review Agenda and Notes

There were no additions to the agenda and the notes from the May 2nd meeting were amended as noted.

Review Budget Process and Timeline – Members will review and provide input to update the SSPBT Criteria & Process for Spring 2011 Budget Discussions for 2012. Discussion included a review of categorical programs, i.e. DSPS, EOPS, F.A. and how their funding is structured. The outcome of reductions in categorical funds will need to be carefully considered. The Proposed Budget Reduction presentation to the Board has been rescheduled from June to November 5th.

Senate Information Sharing - Cook asked that the Academic and Classified Senate SSPBT representatives share information from SSPBT meetings with their respective Senates and provide updates to the SSPBT.

Review APRU Timeline & Process - Haynes reminded the SSPBT that APRUs are due May 15th. and that they will be posted on the SSPBT web site as soon as possible; so the information can be used for budget planning.

Governance Assessment Annual Update Form – Input has been received but more is needed. Send input to Haynes by June 5th.

Budget Discussion – Everyone is waiting for the May revise from the Governor. The proposed reductions could cause some services to completely go away in Admissions & Records and Counseling. There may be some consolidation of programs due to limited funding.
