Meeting Notes - January 21, 2016

Members:  Cook (co-chair), Glapion (co-chair), Kirkpatrick, LeBleu-Burns, Mandy, Shears

There were no amendments to the agenda and two made to the notes.

Reports

 - Kirkpatrick reported on the opening of the Library

  • The library has been very busy since it reopened; students are really
    utilizing the space.
  • Working on an online reservation system for the study rooms.
  • The entire building is much more open, welcoming space.
  • The computer room just opened for students.

  - Shears reported on the Title IX team training

  • The two days were very informative.
  • The information received will give them a clear direction on how to proceed.
  • People came in from all over the states.
  • More resources for the team:

 - LeBleu-Burns reported on Student Development activities:

  • They will be hosting a training session: Trauma Informed Care
    on Friday, Jan. 22nd
  • Health Services will be promoting “It’s On Us” during club week.
    • This program addresses Title IX issues such as stalking,
      relationship violence, and sexual assault.

 - Mandy reported on some changes in Financial Aid:

  • Many new employees that were hired started quarter.
  • Reconfiguring the office to be more student friendly.
  • Completing the Federal Program Review.
