Meeting Notes - June 15, 2017

Attending Members:  Argyriou, Cortez, Doan, Glapion (co-chair), Kirkpatrick, Mandy, Phillips, Shears, Ward

There were no amendments to the agenda or to the notes.

Shared Governance Leadership Survey

The two questions will be sent out to the individual committee members to review. It has been requested that the members submit answers to one or both of the questions to Stacey Cook to summarize and submit on behalf of SSPBT.

SSPBT Year-end Survey

The SSPBT Survey will be re-opened until August 31st so we can receive more feedback. We will review the results in our first meeting of the year in September.

Program Review Status

  • A reminder that Program Reviews are due on June 29th
  • It was confirmed that the template in TracDat was for a comprehensive reviews. To clarify, we are only submitting APRUs this year so please enter them accordingly.

Program & Committee Updates

  -  Shears reported that the Guardian Scholars year-end celebration.

  • This was their inaugural event for the Foster Youth program and many friends
    and family were there.
  • The speaker for the event was “phenomenal” and had a lot of heart.
  • It was also nice to be there for the students, listen to their stories, and watch
    them be honored.

  -  Philips reported that the Panel Discussion with Google Employees hosted by career services
     was very successful. The room was filled to capacity with students and had some overflow into
     the hallway.

  -  Library Services is holding their book sale until the end of the quarter. Paperbacks are $1 and
     hardbound books $2. They also have textbooks, DVDs and audiobooks.
