Meeting Notes - June 20, 2019

There were no amendments to the notes or to the agenda.

DASB Presentation

Genevieve Kolar, DASB Student Trustee, and Rex Zhang presented Best Practices for Student Voices in Shared Governance to SSPBT for approval. The document outlined the learning outcomes and some of the responsibilities of the student representatives and committees.

SSPBT unanimously approved to adopt the document presented.

Annual Governance Reflection

Mieso reviewed the questions with the SSPBT committee and the individual comments were noted. The answers will be composed from the comments and sent to Mallory Newell from the College Planning Committee by Friday, June 28, 2019.

Program & Committee Updates

Shannakian wanted everyone to know that Office of College Life will be temporarily located in the Student Council Chambers after the six week summer session for an office refresh. They will likely be closed about a week at the end of August.

Mieso acknowledged George Robles on his retirement and his commitment to our students over the past 40 plus years. This will be George’s last meeting and all of Student Services will miss him greatly.
