Summer 2018 Employee TB Screening Options

Option 1

Employee can see his or her own physician to receive TB screening and any necessary medical follow up. The district will reimburse the employee for any associated costs.

Option 2

Employee can see a physician at Kaiser Permanente Occupational Center, the medical facility on contract with the district to be screened for TB and any necessary medical follow up. The district will pay for the screening.

Option 3

The employee can undergo the risk assessment for TB exposure on campus. If they are found to be at risk for exposure for TB, they will be referred to Kaiser for further screening, a chest x-ray and medical follow up. If the employee has been determined to have no risk factors after the initial risk assessment screening, he or she will be provided a certificate indicating that he or she is free of risk factors. In either case, Human Resources will be notified of the employee’s status after the initial risk assessment is completed.
