Congratulations to De Anza's nursing program, highly regarded throughout Silicon Valley, on celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

How can De Anza nursing be 50 when the college itself is just 45? The program transferred over from our sister college, Foothill, when our campus opened in 1967. Close to 4,000 of the valley's nurses have been trained through the stellar program since its inception. The Nursing Department celebrated with an Open House on May 9, 2012, bringing back former students, many who have come back to teach. And check out the vintage photo, complete with vintage caps.
