Sixteen faculty members were granted tenure by the Foothill-De Anza district Board of Trustees on Monday, during a special celebration attended by Chancellor Lee Lambert and leaders from the college and district.

De Anza student Ray Ostil has some big changes coming up later this year: He's retiring from the U.S. Army after 20 years of active service - and he's transferring to Stanford University this fall.

The transition to a new Bookstore operation is moving forward, with plans for a new online store and textbook adoption procedures effective for winter quarter.

The League for Innovation in the Community College will present its annual Excellence Awards next month to three members of the De Anza community. The awards are given for outstanding contributions in teaching, leadership and service.
