Part-time Faculty Orientations, 2016 – 2017

New part-time faculty are encouraged to attend a De Anza College orientation. This meeting will include a nuts-and-bolts session with an overview of the Faculty Resource Guide, and an introduction to the culture and organization of De Anza College. Technology training will include an introduction to the De Anza College internet e-mail (Microsoft Outlook) and MyPortal system (for communicating with students, downloading class lists and submitting grades on line). Often, demonstrations of other FHDA software are also included, such as Canvas, our online course management software.
