Prerequisites:(See general education pages for the requirement this course meets.) Advisory: English Writing 1A or English as a Second Language 5. Course Description:Introduction to the field of archaeology within the discipline of anthropology including discussion of scientific methods, the history of archaeology, field and laboratory methods used in the analysis of archaeological data, and theories used to interpret the past. This course explores how archaeologists recover, analyze material and reconstruct ancient cultures and societies.
