Prerequisites:Advisory: English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273. Course Description:Environmental education for educators emphasizing environmental and ecological concepts, nature-based learning and other curricula, interpretive techniques, development of classroom lesson plans, a review of field trip sites and other resources available to educators. The Cheeseman Environmental Studies Area and local field trip sites will be explored. Teaching environmental curricula to various cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic groups will be discussed.
