Course Description:Field observation of the American badger (taxidea taxus) found in Santa Clara County, California with an emphasis on habitat utilization, home range characteristics, behaviors and other natural history insights. The underlying social, economic and political issues associated with the decline and listing as a species of special concern for this mammal will be discussed.
