News From The Scheduling Office

 

Course catalog and class schedule went live with Banner in summer 2010, and over the years bugs have been fixed and behind the scene technical steps have been developed to ensure data accuracy. The Scheduling Office hopes you are more knowledgeable and comfortable using Banner now that you have been using Banner system to build the class schedule for the last few quarters, the Scheduling Office is available for one-on-one training should you need a refresher or need additional assistance.

Did you know that there are scheduling reports available on the Reports tab of MyPortal? Depending on your role and responsibilities—division scheduler, division assistant, and division dean--you may have access to the following reports on MyPortal:

  •  1F5 Cross Campus Single Term Faculty Assignments
  • 1F5 DA Fall Winter Spring Faculty Assignments
  • 1F5 Single Term Faculty Assignments
  • 1F5 by Division (All Faculty Assignments)
  • Build A Schedule Report
  • Monitor Classes Report

Additional reports—cancelled classes, low enrollment classes, contract related data discrepancies, C05, etc--will be added to the Reports tab in the coming months, if you currently do not have access to the listed reports above, but need them, then please contact the Scheduling Coordinator (swansonjane@fhda.edu) for access.

What about the Open Active Division report in MyPortal?  This report extracts information out of Banner Production, and it provides complete class and load information. It is also an excellent report that shows whether or not contract has been issued, and whether or not a contact has been accepted by the faculty. You could also view a list of students enrolled in a class, and sent e-mail to students.
