Where are my classes? At De Anza, on-line, or off-campus?
If you are a new student or have been absent from De Anza College for a short period of time, it may be difficult to find your way around campus and locate specific offices and classrooms. In the last 6-8 years, De Anza has undergone a lot of changes with constructions, landscape, and new buildings. What once may have been located in a particular building might have been moved to another building, such as in the case of the Admissions and Records Office.
A significant amount of the classes offered each quarter are located here on-campus at De Anza College, carefully check the class meeting days, times, and room, and utilize the campus map to find the classroom. If the classes are not at De Anza College, they can be offered in two other locations:
- On-line via the internet. This type of classes is called “distance learning” classes and they contain “Z” in their section number along with a class note. Ex: EWRT D001A-63Z or ACCT D001A-64Z. Contact the Distance Learning Office (408-864-8490) for assistance.
- Off-campus at an off-site facility. Classes that are offered off-campus typically contain class notes that indicate where classes would be held and they might also carry an “F” in the class section number, such as
HTEC D101D-61F. Contact the division office if you experience difficulty finding the location of the class.
