Resources

Below are a few of the resources that you may find useful as you take classes in our department.

De Anza College Listening and Speaking Center

The LSC, located in ATC 313, provides free workshops, tutoring, and other tools to help students improve their speaking, listening, pronunciation, and conversation skills: especially to  those who identify as English Language Learners. While students in SPCH 1 and 10 may benefit greatly from the LSC, enrollment in our classes is not required to take advantage of this resource.

The Writing and Reading Center

The WRC, located in ATC 309, provides tutoring in reading and writing for any course with a writing component. This is a great resource to seek out help for outlines, reflection, or analysis papers in any SPCH course. Tutoring is available through drop in or scheduled appointments

Citing Sources

This link to Duke University provides numerous research resources and explanations how utilizing the APA and MLA citation styles that will be required of you in many of your written assignments in our courses.
