Class-Assigned Tutoring Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign up for a tutor? Please click on this link and complete the form.
How are tutors assigned? We do this in one of two ways. If you have a student you feel comfortable working with, give us the student's name and contact information in our tutor request form, and we will help with the necessary paperwork to get the students on the payroll. When we assign tutors, generally, we choose tutors who have taken the tutor training class, have worked in the WRC for at least one quarter, and have demonstrated the professionalism, competence, and skills necessary to make CAT successful for you and your students.
What can my tutor do?
Your tutor can work with your students individually or in groups in
or outside of your class. Your students can also make appointments with
the CAT and they can meet in the WRC. Please read our CAT guidelines for more information.
How much time can my tutor dedicate to my class? The tutors are limited to 18 hours per quarter. Please speak with the program coordinator if your class will require more time.
