TAA Overview: Santa Clara University
  • TAA is applicable to participating majors within the College of Arts and Sciences.

  • TAA is considered for Fall term only.

  • At least two-thirds (2/3) of the required subject areas must be completed at the time of TAA submission.  For example, English, Math, and Science are required, thus, two of those three areas must be complete at the time the TAA is submitted.

  • minimum 3.3 transferable GPA is required at the time of TAA submission.

  • Transcripts (unofficial are fine) must be submitted with the signed (by a De Anza College counselor) TAA. However, official transcripts are needed to complete the application.

  • TAA is available to International Student Applicants
    • SCU Proof of English Proficiency: International Applicants are only exempt from this requirement if they are from a country whose official language is English or if they attended their entire high school career at a school whose instruction is conducted in English.
      • Required English Proficiency test minimums
        • IELTS: 6.5
        • iTEP: 4.5
        • SAT Critical Reading: 630
        • ACT Reading: 28 AND English: 28
        • TOEFL (iBT): 90, TOEFL (PBT): 575
        • Pearson: 61
        • Satisfactory Duolingo interview result

Filing Deadline: Fall 2018 Santa Clara University TAA
  • Priority TAA Application deadline: February 1, 2018
  • Final TAA Application deadline: March 30, 2018
Application Steps: Fall 2018 Santa Clara University TAA

Step 1:  Review the Santa Clara University TAA criteria (see Additional Information section above).

Step 2:  Meet with a De Anza College counselor to fill out the TAA Application.
             NOTE:  transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (excluding Foothill/De Anza) must
             be on-file at De Anza or hand-carried (unofficial are acceptable) to the counseling session.              If transcripts are not on file or have not been evaluated, there may be a delay in submitting
             the TAA to Santa Clara University

Step 3:  Santa Clara University's TAA decision will be sent to you by U.S. mail.

Step 4:  Submit your admission application to Santa Clara University via the Common Application
             as early as possible.
            
             Fall 2018 Admission Application Deadline: April 15, 2018
            
             Santa Clara University has rolling admissions, so admission applications are accepted from
             January 7 – April 15 every year, and applicants are notified of admission decisions between
             February and May.
