UC TAG Workshops

Planning to transfer to UC in Fall 2016?

Attend a workshop this summer to review the UC TAG program requirements for transfer during the 2016-2017 admission cycle.

Applicants must meet campus-specific requirements to be eligible for a UC TAG and may submit only one TAG to UC per academic year.

Workshop topics will include:
  • An overview of the UC Transfer Admission Planner (TAP) System and UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) System
    • Special focus on UC Davis TAG criteria
  • Specific procedures and deadlines at De Anza College
  • Questions & Answers

NOTE:  UC TAG Workshops DO NOT focus on the UC application process.  The Transfer Center offers UC Application Workshops during the fall quarter.  Visit the Transfer Workshops and Information Sessions page for workshop schedules.

UC TAG Workshop Guidelines
  • Registration is required and offered on a first come, first served basis. 
  • Sign up early. Seating is limited (Limit 1 information session per student). Registration for each workshop will close upon reaching maximum seating capacity.
  • Arrive promptly. Sessions will begin immediately as scheduled.
  • Upon arrival, please be seated in the Counseling & Advising Center Waiting Area. You do not need to check in at the Counseling & Advising Center Front Desk.
  • Please cancel at least 24 hours prior to session date to allow other students to attend.
  • Bring a pen/pencil and paper or tablet device for notes.

Special Notice: UC TAG Advising @ De Anza College
  • Attendance at a UC TAG Workshop is highly recommended for all students
    • If you cannot attend a workshop you are encouraged to prepare specific questions to ask a counselor or academic adviser.
  • Advising services are limited from June 29 to September 30, 2015 and available in the Counseling & Advising Center by appointment only.
    • To schedule an appointment, call or stop by the Counseling & Advising Center during business hours.  Come early as appointment times fill quickly.
  • EOPS and ISP students must work with counselors assigned to their respective programs to address any questions about the UC TAG and to complete the UC TAG process.

Students must have a valid De Anza College Student ID to sign up through the Transfer Workshops Online Registration System


NOTE:  Online registration will close upon reaching the maximum seating capacity per workshop.

UC TAG Filing Period: September 1 - 30, 2015 (Fall 2016 transfer)

Prospective UC TAG applicants must first create a UC Transfer Admission Planner (TAP) account and then follow the prompts to apply for a UC TAG.  Students must submit their UC TAG application during the month of September.

UC Application Filing Period: November 1 - 30, 2015 (Fall 2016 transfer)

Effective this year, the UC Online Application System will open on August 1st so students may begin working on their UC application for admission earlier. Students must submit their UC application during the month of November.
