Making Tough Decisions Together

Friday, October 29
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Hinson Campus Center, Conference Rooms A&B

The National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation (NCDD) and the Institute for Community and Civic Engagement (ICCE) invite you to attend our upcoming conference on Friday, October 29 at De Anza College in Cupertino: 'Making Tough Decisions Together.'

The day is designed to be highly interactive, focusing on best practices in public engagement and community building taking place in Northern California.

The agenda includes local government officials sharing their successes and visions, a nuts-and-bolts discussion by a panel of leaders who "have been there and done that," and time for you to discuss the challenges and opportunities for public engagement in your communities.

This leads to an exciting afternoon of practical hands-on workshops where you can interact with leaders who have been successful engaging their community, explore how to match specific engagement strategies to your challenges and understand how online technology can support public engagement.

Registration is just $85 for the day ($70 for NCDD members and $42 for students). Lunch is included and a limited number of discounts and scholarships are available by contacting sandy@thataway.org.

Registration is open now for this event at http://www.eventbrite.com/org/541747874?s=1990243.

Visit www.ncdd.org/sanfrancisco2010 for more info on the event, our sponsors, and the community leaders you'll hear from that day.
