Experienced and novice poets alike will compete for a prize and, most importantly, the highly coveted title of De Anza College's First Poetry Slam winner!!!! All poets are welcome.

Guest poet of the evening will be Poetri of Def Poetry Jam. Listen to some of his spoken word.

Judges will be selected randomly from the audience and help narrow down a winner within three rounds. However, the audience can have a lot of influence over the judges by expressing their support for certain poets.

YES! The slam is open to any poet interested in being a contestant.
