“Keep You From Getting Sick” foods. This course can help young students become healthy grazers and “Nutrition Detectives,” while teaching them about food labels and marketing.
Instructor: Ankita Kaul has a Master Health Coach Certification from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute and is co- founder of Happy2bHealthy (H2BH),
a program for promoting health and wellness awareness for adults and children. H2BH specializes in providing health education and useful everyday tips through workshops for families and children, as well as for adults in their prime.

LITERARY ANALYSIS
(Grades 6-8 and 9-12) (567*)
This class will build critical-thinking as students analyze several short stories and poems, answering written questions designed to test comprehension and reasoning. The course will begin with
a review of basic literary elements,
and end with a guided book report assignment on a grade-appropriate work of fiction selected by the student. Students will be required to read the book independently over the eight weeks of the course. While all written assignments will be completed during class hours, students may need to read the short stories on their own before coming to class.
Instructor: Bina Barnabas grew up in India, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s
in English literature. For more than 40 years, she has taught students ranging in age from 5 to 75 in India, Japan
and the United States. She especially enjoys teaching language arts to middle schoolers. She likes to read and play with paper, fabric, needle and thread.
