2021-2022 DASB Budget - Finance Draft Ready

This is a message to all those who submitted DASB Budget Requests for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. The DASB Finance Committee has completed its deliberations and their recommendations are posted below. Please check these documents for the status of your requests.

Also included is a summary sheet, detailing the account names and numbers, Senate-approved allocations for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 years, Finance's suggestions for the 2021-2022 year, additional questions and/or comments Finance had during its budget deliberations, and information about the Finance members who were responsible for each program. If you have not done so, please reply to the follow-up questions emailed by your interviewers so that Finance could suggest appropriate reallocations during the Senate budget deliberations.

The recommended budget will be distributed to the DASB Senate and presented as an information item at their meeting on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. The DASB Senate will begin deliberations and is scheduled to have the first vote at its Wednesday, February 10, 2021 meeting. All who have submitted requests will have an opportunity to speak on their funding requests at the February 10th meeting (NOT the February 3rd meeting). Each program area, not individual person, will be allowed up to two (2) minutes maximum to speak on their funding request; the Athletics Director will be speaking on behalf of all of the Athletic Teams. The DASB Finance Committee's recommendations are not final and the amounts allocated could be increased or decreased by the DASB Senate, therefore it is recommended that you attend the DASB Senate Meeting on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 to speak on your request even if you are happy with their recommendation.

  • Monday, October 5, 2020
    Budget Applications become available
  • Monday, November 9, 2020
    Budget Applications due to the Office of College Life by 4 PM
    Applications and attachments must be submitted via email to Dennis Shannakian at ShannakianDennis@fhda.edu.
    The Subject must be in the following format: "DASB Budget Request - DASB Account/Program Name - DASB Account Number"
    For Example: "DASB Budget Request - DASB Budget Committee - 41-51140"
    Everything submitted will be publicly available online.
  • By Friday, February 26, 2021
    Proposed 2021-2022 DASB budget posted on the DASB bulletin board located on the lower level of the Campus Center and online here.
    Those requesting funds should review this draft.
  • By Wednesday, March 3, 2021
    Final proposed draft presented to DASB Senate
  • Monday, May 3, 2021
    DASB Senate approved Budget presented to Board of Trustees for their approval.
