Course Syllabi

My background is in restoration ecology and California native plants. I'm also very interested in the concept of 'biocultural diversity' - how diverse and resilient human populations help keep our wildlands biodiverse in turn!
MA, San Francisco State University, 2009, Social Science Interdisciplinary, focus on Parks and Open Space Stewardship.
Hello, and thank you for visiting! I'm San José born and raised, and am bilingual in English and Spanish. I'm currently a land manager at a 400 acre open space preserve, and am really looking forward to beginning my teaching time here at DeAnza as well! I love teaching, especially the process of co-creating phenomenal classes with my students. My door is always open (ok, I don't have a door yet, but figuratively, you know what I mean), so if you have any questions about a class, don't hesitate to reach out.
