Private use of Planetarium Facility for up to 139 people to view one Full Dome Digital Astronomy show of your choice and tour of the night sky (use time of 1 hour allows for group to arrive and view show, no table or chair set up in lobby, no food or beverage allowed). Groups requiring additional use time may reserve in advance at the rate of $100 per hour.
Private use of Planetarium Facility for up to 65 people to view one Full Dome Digital Astronomy show of your choice and tour of the night sky plus lobby use and set up of five tables and 30 chairs - Party host is responsible for food, cake, beverages, decorations, paper goods, etc.. and minimal clean up (Use time is 3 hours and allows for group to arrive, view show, celebrate and clean up. This rental rate is only applicable to birthday party celebrations).
$ 425 for first hour plus $100 each hour thereafter.
Private use of Planetarium Facility for up to 139 people to view one Full Dome Digital Astronomy show of your choice and tour of the night sky or use of Planetarium auditorium for ceremony, meeting or gathering plus use of lobby for food and non-alcoholic beverage service. Renter is responsible for food, beverages, decorations and minimal clean up, event must be catered by a licensed caterer. If using planetarium for meeting or presentation, renter must must provide A/V materials and must meet with Planetarium staff in advance to provide timeline of event. Due to space limitations, table set up in lobby for this option will be limited to two tables for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
(This rate only applies to groups who wish to use the Planetarium for events that require use of the lobby but are not celebrating a birthday. Usage time may vary according to specific event)
A deposit of 50% of the rental fees, listed above, is required to reserve the Planetarium for any event and is applicable towards rental fee. An additional $100.00 refundable cleaning deposit is required and refunded within two weeks after event. Cleaning deposit will not be refunded should facility be left in an unsanitary or damaged condition.
In the event of a cancellation, renter must notify the Planetarium staff 14 business days in advance to receive deposit refund minus a $50 service fee. Notification will be accepted in writing and must be submitted via email, fax or regular U.S. Mail.

The De Anza College Campus Safety and Security department requires that all cars parked on campus display a proper parking permit. You may purchase these permits the day of your event from the yellow parking machines located on all student lots. The cost is $3.00 per permit – machines accept credit cards, coins or dollar bills.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to other events scheduled on campus such as Flea Market Day (which takes place the first Saturday of every month) permit fees will vary and parking spaces may be limited in some parking lots. If you require more parking information please contact Campus Security at 408 864 5555
No Alcohol is allowed during any event held on De Anza College Campus and Planetarium Facility - no exceptions.
